✻ Taking care of oneself is also taking care of the environment we live in. Of course, we can't change entire cities or workplaces, but we can at least change our homes and apartments. We've found a very inspiring Instagram account that will definitely help you with improving your personal space. 🧘
Speaking of beautiful interiors, take a look at this Hermès globe! It's made of calf leather and gold-plated stainless steel. With this perfect craftsmanship you can discover the whole world with just your fingertips. 🌍
✻ Here at Slow Escape, we certainly love well thought out and beautiful design. We also can’t imagine life without music, as you can probably tell from our previous issue focused on Coachella. So this time, when we stumbled upon an extraordinary turntable, it was a no-brainer to share it. Meet Wheel 2 by Miniot. It works upright on a stand or wall, or flat on a table, like all of the traditional turntables do. So bonus points if you have a vinyl that’s been colored in some way, because this turntable is designed to be displayed, and with a proper LP you can turn it not only into a musical experience, but also a visual one, at the same time or not – however you prefer.
What’s worth mentioning is that apart from the looks, it’s got all the impressive tech inside that makes using this turntable as effortless as it could probably be, even for absolute beginners. Wheel’s sensors precisely scan your record’s tracks, which are then displayed using LEDs on the outside, and the bright LED shows the stylus position at all times. This allows you to switch to a next or previous track on the record simply by clicking the previous track or next track button. Oh, and this turntable is also handmade in the Netherlands. Pure work of art to enjoy your musical art on.

✻ Enhancing your productivity doesn’t require a complete overhaul of your work habits or daily routine. By making even minor adjustments to your behavior and eliminating distractions, you can accomplish more. In the end, often the most significant improvements in productivity come from implementing seemingly small changes. Use the first hour of your day wisely, such as for learning, meditation, or getting ahead on e-mails. Make time for things outside of work, including exercise, family, and hobbies. Try to turn off notifications from apps that don’t need your immediate attention. And to further boost productivity, consider adjusting lighting and temperature to your personal preferences to create a comfortable environment.

✻ When insomnia strikes, seeking assistance becomes imperative. A thriving industry eagerly highlights the myriad health hazards of sleep deprivation, while offering an array of high-tech solutions to aid in achieving slumber. Dr. Jen Gunter, however, dispels the misconceptions surrounding this doomsday narrative, advocating for a more balanced perspective on sleep health and offering practical alternatives.
